Moi, Eric, Billy and Lee
If there is anyone who has been behind the scenes of my music journey, it is Mr. Martin. I am a bit embarrassed to suggest that this is a place holder, but in many ways it is just that. My venture into stepping out into the world as a singer/songwriter has been an orbital path around the musical gravity of this guy. He doesn’t pose for pics, he won’t ever take any credit, and he can be out of touch for a long time, but when he is in my atmosphere I inevitably discover new artistic possibilities. Sometimes it seems to others, I am sure, like he is my imaginary friend, and he is that too.
Throughout this archive/memoir, spanning 33 years, you will hear his name mentioned over and over…a place holder held by no other. Love you, Billy!
